Lisa Apple, Founder & Camp Director

I’ve lived and worked in this area for 22 years and have been a Registered Nurse for nearly three decades, with the majority of my experience focused on working with children. As a mom to grown children, a proud grandmother, and the parent of a wonderful 15-year-old daughter with neurodevelopmental special needs, my heart is deeply rooted in the well-being and joy of kids of all abilities.​

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Camp Nurse, Health Director, and most recently, Director of a Special Needs camp—roles that have brought me so much fulfillment and connection. I’ve seen firsthand how camp can change lives, build confidence, and create lifelong friendships.​

That’s why I’m thrilled to be launching a local overnight camp right here in our community—designed for our kids, with their unique needs and strengths in mind. I can’t wait to share this adventure with you and your family!
